Will The Truth About Abs By Mike Geary Make Me Gain Weight?
I learned a lot since I first used this program and I trust that you will too. In fact, it can even save you a lot of money because it cuts through much of the marketing nonesense which is common in the fitness market (bogus pills, useless abs machines, and more). I know that it stopped me from buying a lot of useless stuff.

But the main advantage of this program is the active support of the creator of this program, Mike Geary. Every email I sent him with questions was answered within 1-2 days. The answers were complete and the service excellent.

However, this program isn't for everyone: if you're not prepared to alter your eating habits, do intensive workouts, and actively strive to improve your physical condition, don't use this program. This is a program for serious people. If you're the sort of person who believes that you can get flat abs without working hard, then go ahead and buy another useless gadget which will end up accumulating dust in you garage. Here's the thing - you can't gain weight while following Mike Geary's Truth About Abs because you're eating a caloric deficit. If you follow the plans laid out in Mike Geary's eBooks you'll eat enough but not over eat. As long as this is the case - the resistance training is just priming your metabolism, burning fat and helping you to get a leaner, meaner physique. The other key to priming fat burning with resistance training is eating the right amounts of protein while you work out. Protein not only is necessary for preserving your lean body during your diet but it also satiates your appetite. More than any other macro-nutrient - protein is the appetite killer. Imagine eating 5 egg whites and 2 egg yolks in the morning with a slice of toast. Your plate will be full of food and you'll feel stuffed for hours. The kicker is, this protein rich meal is going to be less than 500 calories! Add some veggies along with this breakfast and you're eating something that is not only nourishing to your health, filling you up (so you NEVER feel hungry) but also helping you to lose that stubborn belly fat.

In summary - the key, the real "SECRET" to all of this is proper exercise (not just blindly working out but being focused and doing the right exercises) and sensible eating (not starving yourself but eating the right KINDS of foods).

The Truth About Abs by Mike Geary is not a body building book and doing resistance (aka weight) training will NEVER lead to muscle gain during a diet. And sadly, if you've deluded yourself into thinking that you can gain muscle and lose fat at the same time that's not gonna happen either. Beginners can gain a few pounds of muscle (2-3lbs typically) when they first start training but the purpose of resistance training is the following:

  1. Maintain your LBM (lean body mass). LBM is what gives you your metabolism. If you want to burn calories - you need to preserve your muscle mass (this includes heart, lungs, organs, skeleton, skin etc.). The fat on your body doesn't burn calories - muscle does.
